Church Planting and Multiplication (D.Min.)

Program Overview

The Doctor of Ministry in Church Planting and Multiplication serves planters, sending pastors, and network leaders who are called to start new churches and to multiply them. The program unites missional ecclesiology — what a church is and why new ones must be born — with the hard-won practical wisdom of assessment, team formation, fundraising, contextualization, launch, and sustainability. Students study multiplication movements across church history and the contemporary global church, analyze why plants thrive or fail, and develop doctoral-level competence in leading planting networks and residencies. The applied doctoral project centers on a real planting or multiplication initiative, so that the degree produces not only scholarship but new congregations and strengthened networks.

• Master's degree in theology, ministry, missions, or a closely related field
• Substantial pastoral, planting, or ministry leadership experience
