The Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies is for Christian leaders who want to handle Scripture with exceptional care. The program trains students to move beyond surface-level interpretation toward disciplined exegesis, biblical theology, historical context, literary sensitivity, and faithful application for the church. It is designed for those who teach the Bible, preach regularly, write curriculum, lead discipleship ministries, or desire doctoral-level competence in Scripture. Students explore the Old Testament and New Testament as unified Christian Scripture while also learning to respect genre, language, canon, culture, history, and theological development. The pathway emphasizes responsible use of Hebrew and Greek tools, careful interpretation of biblical texts, and the ability to connect exegesis with doctrine, preaching, mission, ethics, and spiritual formation.
